Kiosk Health Care

 Kiosk Health Care (KHC)

 About Us

In the US, people without medical insurance has continuously increased due to high prices, inflation rates, and other reasons-- from 2019 to 2021, about 1.5 million people became uninsured (KFF, 2). Additionally, there are numerous people who leave their medical conditions untreated because they lack access to medical attention which cannot be quantifiable.

Telehealth: the use of telecommunication technology to provide health care.

Over the summer, Allison Kim, the founder of KHC, was researching ways to resolve this issue. One idea that came across her desk was the usage of telehealth. COVID-19 increased telehealth's popularity and so she looked further into  it. Telehealth seemed to be a giant step towards everyone having access to health care. However, there was one issue: not everyone could access telehealth because they lacked the technology, privacy, or the internet. After many brainstorming sessions and research, there was one bright idea: kiosks. This led to the founding of KHC.

Our Mission

The mission of KHC is to effectively increase telehealth accessibility to communities in need in the United States of America. We believe that everyone should be able to have access to medical support. Our goal is to create safe proximal areas for anyone that cannot afford an in-person doctors appointment due to financial, location, or timing reasons. We will achieve this through creating partnerships with wireless providers, local community facilities, and healthcare providers.

Business Model

Specifically, our organization plans to set up kiosks in community facilities in regions with a lower income levels. After analysis, we believe that using kiosks is the most financially-feasible and effective way to accomplish our mission. We will choose facilities that are near public transportation or in the center of the communities. These kiosks will have a telehealth booth inside that people can use for a private consultation meeting and meet face-to-face with a physician or a registered nurse.

While the telehealth meeting cannot accomplish everything that an in-person doctor's appointment can do, the meetings can give recommendations, mental health support, or provide prescription refills. These kiosks save people a lengthy trip to a doctor's appointment because it is free, in a convenient location, and commitment-free.

Partnerships

Our organization is unique because of our partnerships. KHC has found interested parties that are willing to invest in this project because there are government subsidies, it provides community-benefits, and it increases demand. We have crafted our organization in a way that maintains our shareholders by emphasizing the benefits or return on investment that they will receive. For example, the kiosks increase customer touch points: health care providers gain customer data and establish trust with the user; the facilities that host the kiosk can offer products to the customer after the appointment; and the association with our organization improves brand reputation.

We are using the Creating Shared Value Theory as the basis because we believe it will help our longevity (1). Also, our diverse shareholder portfolio reduces any risk of reliance on one party and increases our financial resources we can use for more research and development. KHC is unique because it was founded as a sustainable organization that provides benefits to both its shareholders and stakeholders.

Join Us!

Anima Mundi Development Partners (AMDP) should invest in our organization because we are ensuring that everyone has the ability to satisfy a basic need-- health care. Any contribution will allow us to continue innovating and improving. For example, we have plans to research more into the implementation of AI in the telehealth booths. AMDP shares similar values to us of being community-focused and so we believe that a partnership between the organizations will provide mutual benefits.

We strongly believe that this project is the best way to provide health care to everyone regardless of their situation. KHC is a non-profit organization whose sole mission is to provide health care accessibility. We want to make health care something that people do not have to sacrifice anything for because health care is a human right.
